Winter Citrus

My mom has one of the most beautiful Meyer lemon groves I have ever seen.  It's small, and it's even in the middle of a big city, but it was planted in the perfect spot and receives the perfect amount of sun so the lemons are prolific and they are almost the size of grapefruits!  If you are in the Hill Country don't worry...we CAN grow citrus trees!  I have two that are actually doing wonderfully and make it through the harder freezes.  They are of the "arctic" citrus variety.  I have and arctic Satsuma orange and an arctic mandarin.  For the past year they have done wonderfully!  So don't be afraid to give it a shot! Merry Christmas and enjoy some citrus growing inspiration!
