it's been too long

Wow...it has been WAY to long since I have been on my blog!!!  Life has been pretty go go go these last couple of months.  We are getting ready to move to Houston (temporarily) for the birth of Baby Sally and I am thinking that while I am there plenty of opportunities to blog will present themselves as we are waiting...and waiting...and waiting:) I feel like I have SO much to share as of late!  Flowers that have caught my fancy like yellow protea or artichoke blooms, places to go in Houston such as Tiny Boxwoods, and fun shoes and scarves (I feel like it's all I can really shop for these days).  I will soon be back posting again but for now to packing...and thinking of good ol times at the lake.  I can't help but have a major itch to get in some fresh Texas lake water this time of year!!

This is my parent's new horse:)  His name is Miles and boy is he one beautiful looking horsey!  He is extremely tall and has a regal look to him...I can imagine being a princess in a forest riding this horse.  Super cheesy- but really if you were a princess you would demand this horse:)

This house is one of my absolute favs...not just because the shell of it is so cute...I can assure you it is...but because my sweet cousin Allison does such a GREAT job making this house feel so cozy, warm, and inviting...yet so uncluttered!!  How ever do you do it sweet Allison!!!?  My favorite piece has to be the rug in the master bedroom that was Will's grandmothers and I didn't show any pics of the nursery because I am going to have to do a full shoot when the room is finished and baby Dowell is there:)  Enjoy this happy house!!!

our new friend sam

Some of our dear friends, Wyatt and Caroline, had the most adorable baby boy in October and it wasn't until last week when we went to Dallas for spring break that we were able to visit him.  Boy I hope we see that little baby more often!  He was such a sweetie!!!  It's so fun to see such close friends with their baby...I love the way little Sam is a total mix:)  I so wonder what his little friend Sally is going to look like!!  We love you sweet Sam!

welcome birdie

A little wren is the newest member of the Turp household.  She and her 3 little eggs that is:)  She built her nest right in the center of the succulent wreath on the front door and now there are 3 little speckled eggs in there...I can't wait until they hatch:)  She is quite the guard-bird...I have heard the mailman scream and my brother-in-law Andy was quite a-gasp when he was greeted by our little wren while knocking at the door.  I hope she's here to stay!
